About Those Times

Those Times is a small Paris-based studio that turns your photos into short animated films with music, for weddings, anniversaries, bachelorettes and tributes.

Those Times is a web app that turns photos into short films for the moments that matter: a wedding, a parents' anniversary, a bachelorette weekend, a tribute to someone who passed away. You upload a few photos — scans, phone pictures of old prints, or digital photos — and we restore each one, bring it to life with subtle, photo-realistic motion, and cut everything together into a film with music, titles and transitions that you can download in 1080p.

Why we built it

Most families have boxes and albums of photos that nobody looks at anymore. A still photo of a grandparent is precious; seeing them blink, smile or turn their head for a few seconds is something else. We built Those Times so anyone can make that kind of film for a birthday, an anniversary, a reunion or a memorial — without editing software and without a subscription.

What we believe

• Presence, not magic tricks. The motion is deliberately small: a blink, a smile finding itself, a tilt of the head, a shift of light. We avoid unrealistic morphing, and we keep faces true to the original photo.
• Your photos are yours. Photos and films are stored privately on Cloudflare R2 in the EU. Only you can access them, and we never use them to train AI models.
• Fair, simple pricing. You pay per film (from 2.99 €), with no subscription. Your first Mini film is free and needs no card. Moments never expire.

Who we are

Those Times is published by ThoseTimes, a French sole proprietorship based in Paris, France. The service is hosted in the European Union (Contabo, Germany), with account data on Supabase (Frankfurt) and payments handled by Stripe. The team works in English and French, and the studio is available in ten languages: English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Japanese and Chinese.
